VIDEO | Serie A, Brescia beat Palermo

Brescia beat Palermo 3-2 on Sunday to earn its first points since promotion to Serie A this season.

Simone Dallamano gave Brescia the lead in the third minute. He hit a speculative shot from long range that the Palermo defense missed and slipped past Salvatore Sirigu.

Andrea Caracciolo and Eder then wasted chances and Javier Pastore took advantage of their profligacy when he brought Palermo level.

Mattia Cassani crossed, Pajtim Kasami headed back across goal and the Argentine shot home from close range.

Brescia retook the lead in the 28th. Alessandro Diamanti chipped over the Palermo defense and Eder took one touch and slipped the ball under Sirigu.

Caracciolo extended the lead just before the break. Ezequiel Munoz brought him down and the striker got up to score his first ever Serie A goal with the penalty.

With seven minutes remaining Federico Balzaretti scored Palermo's second, but Brescia goalkeeper Matteo Sereni then denied the Sicilian club a share of the points when he saved from Pastore in injury time.

"It was a tough return to action,'' Sereni said. "We had to work to the very end. It was an explosive game and I enjoyed it. It is an important win for a number of reasons especially as it will give confidence to everyone involved with this club.''

Brescia now has three points from two matches.
