Francesco Totti critisises Ranieri's tactics

Francesco Totti's outburst has caused Roma to switch off the microphones at Trigoria, for players at least.

Roma captain Francesco Totti's Champions League rant has forced the club to call a press silence for players.

Sky Sport Italia reports Roma players have been banned from speaking with the media until after the Bologna clash at the weekend.

The move coincides with Francesco Totti's criticism following the 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in which he said the team must move away from Catenaccio football.

Claudio Ranieri and club directors will be the only ones authorised to speak with the press, meaning it's just a partial press silence.

Roma took the steps to play down concerns they would create a firestorm within the dressing room following their poor start to the season.
