Qormi put four past Vittoriosa

Qormi were the better team on the day, but Vittoriosa started the game on the attack. On the 16th minute, Anthony Ewurum put Vittoriosa ahead when he concluded after receiving a fine pass from Jorge Santos Silva.

Qormi immediately went on the attack to try to get the equalizer. Kosta Bjedov had his shot go wide on the 23rd minute.

On the 29th minute Qormi levelled when George Mallia headed the ball in from a freekick by Joseph Farrugia.

Qormi kept the pressure on Vittoriosa when on the 37th minute a fantastic freekick by Joseph Farugia beat goalkeeper Simon Agius.

In added time George Mallia gave Qormi a 3-1 advantage when he headed the ball in following a freekick from Cleavon Frendo.

In the second half Vittoriosa did not sit back and on the second minute they reduced the gap when Anthony Ewurum found the back of the net from close range thanks to a pass from Edison Luis Dos Santos.

Qormi practically killed off the game on the 81st minute when they went ahead 4-2. Kosta Bjedov’s powerful shot beat Vittoriosa goalkeeper Agius.
