VIDEO: Milan draw as Lazio add more misery to Fiorentina

After last week's defeat to Cesena, AC Milan could only draw 1-1 with Catania at the San Siro, keeping them two points behind Serie A leaders Chievo having played a game more.

This was not the result were looking for after the defeat to Cesena last weekend.

Milan went behind as Ciro Capuano's stunning long range volley put the home side ahead in the 27th minute. Capuano caught the dropping ball perfectly from 35 yards out and beat Christian Abbiati at his near post with a shot that was recorded at around 70mph.

However, veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi was on hand to stab the ball home in trademark fashion just before the break to give the Rossoneri a point.

Christian Ledesma went from villain to hero as he conceded a penalty before scoring an equaliser to help inspire Lazio to a 2-1 win at Fiorentina.

The hosts, still searching for their first league win, were ahead after 19 minutes when Ledesma brought down Alessio Cerci and Adem Ljajic converted the spot-kick.

Ledesma redeemed himself 13 minutes later when he turned in Stefano Mauri's clever pass before Libor Kozak tucked home the winner with 69 minutes played.

This result puts more unwanted pressure on Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. But after the match it was the players who were insulted by the fans and not the coach.
