Lukas Podolski lands in Milan to sign for Inter
Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has arrived in Italy ahead of a proposed loan move to Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old had become frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities with the Gunners, and will now look to further his career in Serie A.
Inter, whose initial interest was described as a "joke" by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, posted photos on their official Twitter feed of Podolski's arrival, where he was greeted by the club's fans and quickly draped in their blue-and-black scarf.
Podolski is expected to complete the formalities of his move over the weekend, and is said to have agreed to a pay-cut to help facilitate the move.
"I expect so much from this adventure," the Germany international said at the airport.
"I spoke to (Roberto) Mancini and think he is a great coach. He wanted me and I am happy to be here.
"I know Serie A, it's a very competitive League. I want to help the team get into the Champions League.
"Forza Inter - we hope to have a great season."
