Fenerbache team bus attacked by assailant with a gun, driver injured in armed attack
A bus carrying Turkey’s Fenerbache team came under an armed attack while on its way to the airport following their 5-1 away win at the Black Sea side Rizespor.
The team said on their official website that the bus driver was injured in the attack and taken to hospital. The players were unhurt, the club said. Oz later changed his view, saying the driver appeared to have been hit by a bullet. “The latest situation is that it appears to be a gun,” Oz said. “It is too soon to say anything definite, but it appears to be a type of bullet fired by a rifle.”
The Turkish Football Federation released a statement condemning the attack while Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan,
