Valletta FC secretary selected to sit on ECA board group

Current premiership leaders Valletta FC proudly announce that it’s hard-working club secretary Joe Attard has been selected to sit on the 2010/2012 competitions working group board of the European Club Association (ECA).

Joe was directly nominated by the working group’s chairman Umberto Gandini, who is also the organizing director of Italian Serie ‘A’ giants AC Milan.

The ECA working group consists of 18 nominated members and currently includes many popular football personalities such as Emilio Butragueno of Real Madrid and Luis Figo of FC Internazionale.

The European Club Association (ECA) is the sole, independent body directly representing football clubs at European level. It replaces the G14 Group and the European Club Forum, both dissolved at the beginning of 2008. ECA was fully recognized by UEFA and FIFA in a formal memorandum of understanding.

ECA members are drawn from every one of the 53 National Associations within UEFA, right across Europe. Its main aim is to bring together the voice of the clubs in the governing bodies of continental and world football and represent their needs to both EUFA and FIFA.
