Hamrun and Hibernians entertain in a seven-goal feast

Hamrun Spartans were almost humiliated after Hibernians came back from being four goals down to end the match 4-3.

Hamrun started their goal run on the 20th minute when Mark Anthony Bonnici passed to Marcelo Pereira who beat veteran goalkeeper Mario Muscat.

Hamrun made it 2-0 on the 32nd minute when a header from Peter Anizoba beat Mario Muscat.

Hibernians went one man down on the 35t hminute when Adrian Pulis was given a red card after a hard tackle on Ryan Fenech.

Four minutes from the end of the first half Hamrun made it 3-0 when off a pass from Ryan Fenech, Peter Anizoba shot the ball in from close range.

It was not long into the second half when Hamrun made it 4-0. A shot from Gaeton Spiteri slipped away from goalkeeper Mario Muscat to end up at the back of the net.

Hibernians started their shock comeback on the 72nd minute when Paul McManus flicked the ball over goalkeeper Ivan Casha. It was now 4-1.

On the 75th minute, off a freekick from Andrew Cohen, Jean Paul Farrugia headed the ball in to make it 4-2.

Hibernians were awarded a penalty on the 87th minute when Roderick Fenech committed a foul inside the area. Andrew Cohen made it 4-3.

In extra time Paul McManus almost put the equaliser in for Hibernians, but it was blocked by Hamrun goalkeeper Ivan Kasha.
