Marsaxlokk leave it late to defeat Hamrun

Hamrun started with the initiative and took the lead on the 7^th minute. Gaetan Spiteri headed the ball in past goalkeeper Reuben Gauci after receiving  the ball from a corner kick by David Camilleri.

Both teams had numerous chances until the end of the first half.

The second half started with both teams again having chances on both sides of the pitch. But Marsaxlokk leveled matters on the 79^th minute when Reuben Guerreiro passed a high ball to Alfred Effiong who concluded to head the ball in to make it 1-1.

On the 86^th minute Marsaxlokk’s Alfred Effiong again had his shot hit the back of the net to make it 2-1.
