Park saves United at death as Bolton shock Tottenham

Park Ji-Sung saved Manchester United blushes when he got the injury time winner for them against Wolverhampton Wanderers. 

The Wolves were looking to hold out for a point against giants United, but Park put United within two points of leaders Chelsea.

United’s star Owen Hargreaves who has come back from a long injury battle was handed a rare start, but this only lasted five minutes, and the injury stricken player limped off with what appears to be a hamstring injury.

United’s Park opened up the scoreline when Fletcher set him up for the goal. The Wolves came back when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake beat United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

It was looking as they match would end 1-1, but Fletcher set up Park again in injury time to steal the winner for United.

Tottenham were brought back down to earth after their historic win against European Champions Inter earlier this week as Bolton defeated them 4-2. Bolton learned from Inter’s mistakes as Gretar Steinsson practically closed down Tottenham star Gareth Bale. On the 31stminute Davies opened the scoreline to put Bolton ahead. The first half ended 1-0.

In the second half on the 56thminute Steinsson beat Tottenham goalkeeper to give Bolton their second goal. Davies made it 3-0 on the 76thminute when Bolton were awarded a penalty. On the 79thminute Hutton pulled one back for Tottenham.  Tottenham hame seemed to get back into the match when Pavlyuchenko made it 3-2 on the 87thminute.

It was all over for Tottenham when Petrov made it 4-2 in the final minutes of the match.

In other matches, West Ham and Birmingham played to a 2-2 draw.

Blackpool and Everton also played to a 2-2 draw.

Sunderland claimed a 2-0 win over Stoke City.

Fulham and Aston Villa played to a 1-1 draw as Fulham’s Brede Hangeland denied them the win when he headed in the equaliser in injury time.
