Floriana punched a dent in Valletta’s title hopes with a 2-0 victory.

Hibernians would move just three points behind the leaders if they win today, while Balzan are now five points in arrears after their victory over Qormi.

Floriana took the lead in added time of the first half when off a freekick by Nicolas Chiesa, Matteo Piciollo served Mario Fontanella who then beat goalkeeper Henry Bonello with his shot.

Floriana doubled their lead on the 72nd minute when off a cross by Matteo Piciollo, Mauricio Villa beat goalkeeper Bonello with his shot, securing all three points for Floriana.

Qormi 0 - Balzan 3

Balzan managed to move just five points behind leaders Valletta after they defeated Qormi 3-0.

Balzan managed to take the lead on the 64th minute. Paul Fenech served Lydon Micallef to have the latter beat goalkeeper Andreas Vella with his low shot.

On the 76th minute, Qormi doubled their lead when off a cross by Alan da Silva Souza, Aleksandar Vujacic beat goalkeeper Andreas Vella with his header.

Qormi secured victory on the 86th minute when a shot by Lyndon Micallef was partially saved and off the rebound Micallef would not be denied, to make the final score 3-0.

Sliema Wanderers 1 - Mosta 0

Sliema Wanderers defeated Mosta 1-0

The defeat for Mosta means they still need two points from their last three matches to secure Premier League status.

Sliema scored the goal that would give them all three points on the 59th minute. Gary Muir served Jean Paul Farrugia inside the area to have the latter easily beat goalkeeper Omar Borg with his shot.
