Juventus and Roma share the spoils as Fiorentina edge past Cesena

Juventus took the lead when on the 35^thminute Vincenzo Iaquinta had no problem finding the back of the net.  The celebrations did not last long as Roma captain Francesco Totti’s free kick was handled by Pepe.

The referee did not hesitate to point to the penalty spot.  Totti converted the penalty to level the scoreline.

The match ended 1-1.

In the earlier match Fiorentina had to work hard to defeat Serie A minnows Cesena.

Albert Gilardino scored on the 59^thminute. The goal gave Fiorentina a much needed victory and Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic a new lifeline.
