An Ibrahimovic  penalty decided the Milan derby. Ibrahimovic was brought down by Matarazzi in the area on the five minute mark. Ibrahimovic converted the penalty to put Milan infront by one goal.

Milan's Ignazio Abate received a second yellow card when he was in a row with Inter's Pandev on the 58th minute. With time to spare, Inter still could not break down the Milan defence, even though they had most of the ball possession in the second half.

This leaves leaves Inter in fifth place, six points behind leaders Milan. Inter have not lost a home match since October 2008 when they lost 2-1 against Juventus.
