John Terry could be sidelined for months
Chelsea received a new blow in their title defence today.
After losing 3-0 at home against Sunderland last Sunday, captain John Terry has admitted he could be sidelined for months with a leg injury.
He was forced to miss the match last weekend against Sunderland. His absence could be one of the reasons Chelsea fell apart against Sunderland.
Terry has had am ongoing injury in his leg since the end of last season and the pain has finally stopped him from playing.
Speaking to the Sun, Terry said “It is at a point where I cannot carry on with it, I used to be able to make it through games because the adrenalin gets you going and you blank the pain out. But now there is no decision to make. After games I’m in agony and not sleeping at all.”
John Terry will not be playing with England in their friendly against France at Wembley on Wednesday night. It is being reported as well that Terry is considering traveling to Italy to cure his problem.
Along with John Terry, Frank Lampard has been out for most of the season and is expected to be back in another two weeks.
