I have full confidence in Benitez – Moratti
Inter President Massimo Moratti has denied reports published by the Italian press earlier today.
When interviewed outside his office by the press Moratti said, “I have read it in the papers, these stories are inventions and you [the press] have invented it,” he said.
Moratti continued “There isn’t any traumatic decision. It’s a project that we have chosen and it’s going forward.”
Regarding Benitez, Moratti said “There is full confidence in Benitez like I said the other day. You can't take away the fact that I was annoyed after a game like Sunday's, but this doesn't change the club's projects.”
Sky Italia also spoke to Luciano Spalletti regarding the coaching rumors. “I have never been contacted by Inter. I have a contract here.” Spalletti said
“I will continue to be Zenit's Coach until they sack me or a new situation develops.
“There were never any doubts that Massimo Moratti would show his full confidence in Benitez.
“Moratti is a serious person. At this present moment in the season the team has paid dearly for a series of injuries.
“Moratti is not the kind of person who turns his back on you after two months.”
