Carragher out for three months

Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher is expected to be sidelined for almost three months after dislocating his shoulder during last weekends 2-1 defeat against Tottenham.

Carragher will have to have surgery this week. Carragher will therefore miss the UEFA Europa League group stage campaign.

"I'll be having surgery at the end of the week," the 32-year-old confirmed. "The average is about 12 weeks. I'd like to come back before that but I've got to make sure it's right. It will probably be late February or early March when I'm looking to come back."
