Birkirkara return to winning ways
Birkirkara returned to winning ways as Goals from Srdjan Dimitrov and Frank Temile earned the stripes a 2-0 win against Mosta.
Drazen Besek’s side were close to open the score on the 22nd minute. From a corner on the left side, Dejan Djordjevic sent a cross that was met by Predrag Jovic whose header hit the post.
Birkirkara managed to go ahead on the 35th minute when Srdjan Dimitrov fired a shot that gave Manuel Bartolo no chance.
Mosta were close to score an equaliser on the 64th minute. Bezak found Lucky Oseghale whose effort hit the crossbar.
Edmond Lufi’s side chances of an equaliser took a setback on the 66th minute when Adrian Caruana was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
Having an extra man in the pictch, Birkirkara pushed forward and doubled the score on the 80th minute. Cain Attard crossed the ball for Frank Temile who headed past Bartolo.
