Hibernians win against ten men Valletta
Rodolfo Soares and Jurgen Degabriele struck in the second half as Hibernians earned a 2-0 win over ten men Valletta.
Paul Zammit’s side were reduced to ten men on the 26th minute when Uchenna Calistus Umeh was sent off by the refere.The Nigerian fouled Renan Pimenta Telles on the edge of the penalty area while going through on goal.
Having an extra man on the pitch, Hibernians pushed hard and their efforts paid off on the 54th minute. From Jackson Lima’s corner on the right side, the unmarked Rodolfo Soares finished past Henry Bonello.
Hibs managed to double the score four minutes later. Johann Bezzina delivered the ball towards Jurgen Degabriele who fired a low shot that ended up inside the net.
