Birkirkara move to third after defeating Floriana

Both teams were desperate for points, but the tempo of the match showed otherwise.

There was very few attempts on goal in the first half. Goalkeeper Michael Fraser had no problem saving an attempt from Floriana’s Manolito Micallef on the 38^th  minute, while on the other side of the pitch Emiliano Lattes had a attempt on the Floriana goal, but goalkeeper Loft Saudi denied him.

Birkirkara managed to take the lead and the match winner on the 76^th  minute when off a freekick by Lattes, Patrick Borg’s shot beat the Floriana goalkeeper. A Floriana defender tried to clear the ball, but it had already crossed the goal-line.
