Valletta extend lead at top after defeating Hibernians

Hibernians now have gone 10 matches without a win and remain second from the bottom in the standings.

Valletta went ahead on the 22^nd minute when off a free kick by Kevin Sammut Dennis Rocha Dos Santos headed the ball past Hibernians goalkeeper Mario Muscat.

Hibernians had an attempt on goal ten minutes later when Andrew Cohen had his shot saved by Andrew Hogg.

Valletta made it 2-0 seven minutes into the second half. Terrence Scerri’s shot beat Mario Muscat to seal the win for Valletta.
