Moratti looking for a new coach according to reports
The Italian media are on full alert on every little move Inter president Massimo Moratti is taking regarding who will be coach of the new world champions after the Christmas break.
Moratti refused to comment on the future of Benitez after he attacked the president with his post match comments last Saturday evening. (see Inter win FIFA Club World Cup)
At the moment Moratti just wants to focus on celebrating the new title with the fans. He is furious that Benitez said those comments right after the match.
This is a very delicate situation for the current Serie A champions as they are 13 points behind city rivals Milan.
Inter must start winning matches if they are to at least qualify for next season Champions League.
Spalletti, Leonardo, and Zenga are the names in the bag to replace Benitez as it is becoming a normal situation for Inter to look for a new coach after winning a major title.
Another temporary option for the president is a partnership between Luis Figo and Giuseppe Baresi. This would give Moratti time to try to convince Barcelona’s coach Guardiola to coach Inter next season. Guardiola has been linked to the English Premier League next season, but if Moratti opens up his wallet as he did with Mourinho, anything can happen.
