Sliema went ahead on the 25th minute. Frank Temile went on the left flank and sent a cross inside the penalty area that found Denni Rocha Dos Santos whose effort was partially saved by Justin Haber. In his attempts to clear the ball, Alex Cini committed an own goal.

The Wanderers doubled the score on the 55th minute. Wisdom Salomon sent a through ball towards Jean Paul Farrugia and the latter finished past Haber.

Floriana reduced the margin of the score on the 61st minute. Ignacio Varela was brought down inside the penalty area and Clayton Pisani pointed towards the spot. From the eleven metres mark, Mario Fantanella converted past Glenn Zammit.

Sliema made sure of the three points on the 72nd minute. Enzo Ruiz fouled Farrugia inside the penalty area and the referee ordered another penalty. From the spot kick, Denni finished inside the net.
