Manchester United continue their dominance
Manchester United’s unbeaten run in the Premier League has reached 20 matches at Old Trafford.
United’s Hernandez and Nani made sure United secured all three points by defeating Stoke City 2-1. Manchester’s Javier Hernandez put United ahead on the 27th minute with a right footed shot from close range to beat goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. Stoke City’s Dean Whitehead cancelled out United’s advantage on the 50th minute with a great header just in front of goal. United dominated the second half and the winning goal was scored by Nani on the 62nd minute with his shot from outside the area. United win all three points and secure their place on top of the Premier League table. Birmingham defeated Blackpool 2-1 to earn their first away win of the season. The victory also moves Birmingham out of the relegation zone. Alexander Hleb put Birmingham ahead on the 24th minute with a excellent shot from the centre of the box. Blackpool scored the equaliser thanks to Gary Taylor-Fletcher who headed the ball to DJ Cambpell on the 68th minute. Cambpell then made no mistake by finding the back of the net with his powerful shot. Birmingham scored the winner one minute before time. Scott Dann made no mistake with his right footed shot to give Birmingham all three points. Fulham put three past West Bromwich Albion yesterday evening. The 3-0 victory lifts Fulham out of the relegation zone. Fulham’s first goal arrived one minute before the end of the first half. Simon Davis’s right footed shot from outside the area beat goalkeeper Scott Carson. The second goal for Fulham arrived on the 56th minute thanks to a Clint Dempsey header from the centre of the area. The match was put out of reach for West Brom when Fulham scored the third goal on the 65th minute. Brede Hangeland made no mistake with his header to beat the West Brom goalkeeper.
