Leonardo’s Inter celebrates winning start

Inter defeated Napoli 3-1 yesterday evening to give new coach Leonardo a perfect start on his new adventure with the team.

Two goals form Thiago Motta and Esteban Cambiasso secured the important three points for Inter.

From the start of the match, Inter pressed for the opening goal. The goal arrived on the third minute when Thiago Motta’s shot from just outside the area beat goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis.

On the 25th  minute Napoli found the equaliser thanks to  Michele Pazienza who headed the ball in following a corner by Lavezzi.

Inter regained the lead on the 37th  minute. Off a cross from Maicon, Cambiasso made no mistake with his header.

The new look Inter seemed to be too much for Napoli to handle. On the 57th  minute, Thiago Motta got his second of the evening after he headed the ball in off a corner kick from Goran Pandev.

Inter remain in seventh place with two games in hand, 13 points behind first place Milan who have 39 points.
