Floriana start 2011 on a high

The match was totally dominated by Floriana. The Green’s defence did not leave anything to chance by keeping the Hamrun Spartans attackers away from goal.

Two goals from Daniel Nwoke helped Floriana move up to third place in the BOC Premier League standings.

Floriana took the lead on the 28^th  minute when Brian Said shot from close range beat goalkeeper Omar Borg.

Near the end of the first half, Floriana doubled the score when Ivan Woods set up Daniel Nwoke who made no mistake with his powerful shot.

Daniel Nwoke put the match out of reach on the 56^th  minute when Duncan Pisani passed to Nwoke who lobbed the ball past Hamrun goalkeeper Omar Borg.

Hamrun scored a consolation goal thanks to Gaetan Spiteri.
