Juventus and Roma earn important victories

Alessandro Del Piero left it late to put Juventus in front on the 43^rd  minute of the first half.

Bari fought back got the equaliser on the 57^th  minute. Gergely Rudolf beat Juventus keeper Buffon from the left side of the box with his shot.

Alberto Aquilani  scored the goal that would give Juventus all three points. On the 79^th  minute, Aquilani’s shot from outside the area left no chance for the Bari goalkeeper.

Minnows Cesena were about to shock Roma with a goalless draw as their stubborn defence held Roma back from scoring.

Roma scored the winning goal with a bit of luck on the 89^th  minute. After some confusion in front of the Bari goal, Roma’s Fabio Simplicio shot in front of the goal line saw it deflected into the net by Bari’s Maximiliano Pellegrino.

Cagliari defeated Palermo 3-1.

Parma were defeated by Brescia 2-0.

Catania and Chievo played to a 1-1 draw.

Inform Udinese defeated Genoa 4-2 and finally Lazio defeated Sampdoria 1-0.
