Birkirkara went ahead on the 28th minute. Jake Grech sent a strong shot that went past Christoph Nicht.

The stripes made it 2-0 on the 43rd minute. De Brito’s cross was met by Luke Montebello who finished inside the net.

Naxxar pulled one back two minutes into the second half. Ryan Grech served Darren Falzon and the latter went round the goalkeeper and placed the ball inside an open net.

Daniel Mateo Bustos equalised for Naxxar on the 69th minute. The Naxxar player received the ball from Scott Fenwich and hit a shot that went behind Philip Schranz.

Birkirkara scored the winning goal deep into stoppage time. Grech’s free kick caused a havoc inside Naxxar’s penalty area. Attard was at the right place at the right moment and concluded inside the net.
