Valletta are 13 points ahead in the BOV Premier Leage standings over Floriana and Tarxien Rainbows who both have a game in hand.

The first attempt on goal was by Valletta’s Terence Scerri on the 29^th minute. Scerri’s shot was saved by Marsaxlokk goalkepper Reuben Gauci.

Marsaxlokk’s Alfred Effiong had his shot go wide five minutes later.

Both sides were cautious in front of goal and the score remained 0-0.

Valletta had a good opportunity on the 85^th minute. Denni’s shot on goal was cleared off the goal line by Marsaxlokk’s Andrew Spiteri. Another attempt by Valletta’s Terrence Scerri was again cleared by Spiteri.

In added time, Marsaxlokk could have had the winning goal when substitute Ryan Darmanin took advantage of a defensive error with his attempt just missing the target.

Both teams secured a point each with Valletta remaining unbeaten and Marsaxlokk still with a chance to remain in the championship pool.
