The Paolites went ahead on the 23rd minute. From a corner, Marco Sahanek sent a cross in the direction of Jurgen Degabriele whose header gave Cristian Cassar no chance.

Hibernians increased their advantage on the 79th minute. Sahanek served Marco Antonio Filho Morgon and the latter hit a powerful drive past Cassar.

Johann Bezzina added another for Hibernians on the 86th minute. Following a pass by Clayton Failla, the Maltese midfielder saw his diagonal shot ending up inside the net.
