Inter have showed faith in me, and this is very important – Pazzini
Giampaolo Pazzini is very happy to have joined Inter and still can’t believe the moved happened so fast.
Pazzini has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Italian, European and World Champions.
Jonathan Biabiany joined Sampdoria as part of the transfer.
After his signing, Pazzini was interviewed on the Inter Channel:
"A big hello to all the Inter fans. I'm very happy to be here." Those were Giampaolo Pazzini's first words as a Nerazzurri player as he spoke to Inter Channel. The 26-year-old striker arrived at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti this morning, where he had a brief training session with Leonardo and fitness coach Stefano Rapetti.
"Everything is great here," Pazzini said. "It's a big surprise and a wonderful feeling. I'm here but I still can't believe what's happened. I do realise where I am, though, and it fills me with joy. You never know what might happen in football these days. It all happened so quickly and was totally unexpected. But I'll say it again: I'm really happy to be here."
"I'd already played in these colours with another club [he began his career at Atalanta, who also play in black and blue]. Now I can play as a Nerazzurri again. I'm determined to be successful here and I've got plenty of enthusiasm. I've joined a team that really wanted me and they have shown great faith in me right from the start. That's very important for me."
Marco Materazzi spoke about the two goals Pazzini scored against Roma last April, which allowed Inter to return to the top of the league: "It's true, and I'm aware of what those goals meant here. But we were fighting for a Champions League spot and I was giving my all for Sampdoria. Indirectly the result also benefited Inter. And now that I'm here I'm happy about that.” – Pazzini concluded.
