Torres leaves Liverpool for Chelsea in record €58.5m deal

Torres has signed a deal that will keep him with the defending English champions till June 2016.

The deal was final in the final hours of the winter transfer window and was made official lat into the night.

The Spanish striker has played 142 times for Liverpool and scored 81 goals in his three-and-a-half year spell with the club.

Lack of Champions League football is one of the factors Torres has left Liverpool.

Torres is yet to win a major award in club football and now is hoping his luck will change with Chelsea.
