Malta and Switzerland share the spoils as Haber saves two penalties
Malta put in a great performance in yesterday evening’s friendly match against Switzerland.
The match ended in a goalless draw with Malta goalkeeper Justin Haber saving two penalties.
A penalty was awarded to Switzerland just after two minutes. Jonathan Caruana handled the ball inside the area.
Alex Frei’s shot from the penalty spot was deflected by Haber with Andrei Agius clearing the ball to safety.
Malta went close to scoring after attempts from Andre Schembri, Shaun Bajada and Andrew Cohen.
Switzerland were awarded a second penalty on the 57th minute. But Justin Haber was the hero of the day for Malta as he neutralized Gokhan Inler’s effort.
