The Greens made a brilliant start to the match as they went ahead after just three minutes. From a free-kick, Juninho Cabral hit a stunning shot that gave Jamie Azzopardi no chance.

Floriana doubled their advantage on the 26th minute. Davide Mansi handled the ball inside the penalty area and the referee pointed towards the spot. From the eleven metres mark, Clayton Failla made no mistake.

Qormi pulled one back on the 51st minute. Alessio Cassar delivered a cross in the direction of Yannick Yankam who headed the ball inside the net.

However, Luis Oliveira’s side made sure of the win two minutes from time. Substitute Clyde Borg unleashed a powerful shot that went past Azzopardi.
