Valletta opened the score on the 34th minute. Miguel Angel Alba’s delivery from a free-kick was met by Steve Borg whose header stunned Jake Galea.

Danilo Doncic’s men made sure of the three points during the additional time given by the referee. Following a quick counter attack, Matteo Picciolo placed the ball past Galea.

Following this result, Valletta are now one point behind Gzira and three points behind leaders Hibernians.
