Birkirkara forged ahead on the 26th minute. Matthew Guillaumier received the ball from Maurizio Vella before hitting a low shot from inside the penalty area that went past Nicky Vella.

Jorge Pereira da Silva doubled Birkirkara’s advantage on the 66th minute. The Brazilian was played through on goal by Johann Bezzina and fired a shot that gave Pieta’s goalkeeper no chance.

Riise’s men sealed the issue on the 82nd minute. Following a corner, Danilo Chapoval headed the ball home.
