Balzan made a bright start to the match and forged ahead after just 30 seconds. Andrija Majdevac’s shot was blocked by Matthew Farrugia. Uros Ljubomirac took the rebound and placed the ball inside the net.

However, Senglea hit back inside the second half and scored twice.

They scored the equalising goal on 62nd minute. Diego Venancio’s effort from a free-kick was cleared by Steve Sultana. Arian Mrsulija rushed forward and finished home.

Augosto Caseres scored the winning goal for Senglea five minutes later. Following a cross inside the penalty area, the Argentinian slotted the ball inside the net from close range.
