Vettel holds off Hamilton for tense Spanish win
Sebastian Vettel has picked up his fourth win in 2011 by winning Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix.
After local favourite Fernando Alonso led in the opening stages, the German resolutely defended from Lewis Hamilton as Jenson Button confirmed a double McLaren podium result. Pole-sitter Mark Webber finished fourth.
Vettel’s 13th career victory is his first in Spain and sees him extend the championship lead to 41 points over Hamilton. For Constructors’ honours, Red Bull now heads McLaren by more than a 1-2 finish’s worth of points as Mercedes closes to within six points of Renault for fourth.
