Capirossi will miss Dutch Grand Prix
Loris Capirossi will miss today’s Dutch Grand Prix after dislocating his right shoulder in qualifying, with the Pramac rider crashing in the final stages of the session.
The Italian went on to hit him after the fall, but he suffered 'no serious injuries' as a result and is now due to spend some time recovering in Monaco.
"There’s not much to say," the former 250cc Champion said. "It’s not much fun to be crushed by a bike at high speed. I’m feeling better now, although I’m sorry to miss tomorrow’s (today’s) race.
"I crashed as I was at my best; I could have dropped my time, but the problem in left-hand corners, which we had already experienced in the morning’s free-practice session, caused me to lose control.
"Tomorrow (today) I’ll go back to Monte Carlo, and in two days I’ll undergo some more checks on my physical condition."
