Button not giving up on 2011 title chances
Jenson Button is back in the championship race after winning in Budapest last weekend.
The 2009 champion is just 15 points away from second place in the driver standings despite being in fifth place.
Even though the McLaren driver looks like an outsider in the championship battle, he believes that a title attack is still a great possibility.
“Our race pace was very strong, but I don't think there was much between us, Ferrari and Red Bull,” Button said on his official website. “We've won three of the last five races and each of our major rivals have won just one apiece during that time, so we're doing something right.
“To win with Lewis (Hamilton) in Germany and me in Hungary proves that McLaren is pushing, developing and challenging the cars around us with genuine pace in the car. Roll on Spa!
“I'm 100 points behind Sebastian, so that's going to be challenging, but we like a challenge! I never give up, so let's see what happens. I'll take each race as it comes and then look at the points at the end of the year.”
