Red Bull: Crash was racing incident

Red Bull Racing's Christian Horner has moved to clarify comments made by himself and team advisor Helmut Marko in the aftermath of the Turkish Grand Prix last Sunday. With both men having edged blame onto Mark Webber's shoulders, the Englishman now stresses that the infamous Turn 12 collision was a racing incident.

With a 1-2 lost for Red Bull Racing as Vettel and Webber - who also collided at the 2007 Japanese Grand Prix whilst driving for different teams - came together on Lap 40, former driver Marko in particular explained how Webber should have allowed his team-mate through.

"Ultimately, we win as a team and we lose as a team and on Sunday we lost as a team, as a result of our two drivers having an incident," Team Principal Horner said on Tuesday afternoon.

"Having looked at all the information, it's clear that it was a racing accident that shouldn't have happened between two team-mates. After looking at all the facts that weren't available immediately after the race, Dr. Marko also fully shares this view."
