De Puniet hoping to return at Czech Grand Prix

LCR Honda rider Randy de Puniet feels ready to return to MotoGP at next week's Czech Grand Prix at Brno.

De Puniet is recovering from his crash at the Sachsenring and underwet a successful two-hour operation on his left leg last month. His recovery is going well and De Puniet is hoping to get back on the back at Brno again.

Speaking about his recovery Randy de Puniet said: “I've been working hard on my recovery since the crash. Laguna Seca was the first Grand Prix I watched on TV since my debut in MotoGP.

“At the moment I visit the gym on a daily basis to train my body again. The doctors said they are surprised with the speed of my recovery and I have to admit I am as surprised as they are. I hardly use my crutches now and I hope to be back for the next Grand Prix at Brno, however the final decision will be made in Brno next Thursday when the circuit doctor will examine my leg and overall physical condition.

Randy de Puniet scored 69 points so far this season and is eighth in the championship standings.
