Schumacher leaves hospital, no longer in coma
Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma and has left hospital in the French town of Grenoble, Sabine Kehm, the manager of the record Formula One champion, says.
Schumacher has been treated for severe head injuries sustained in a skiing accident in Meribel on December 29, and had been placed in an induced coma.
"Michael has left the hospital in order to continue a long phase of rehabilitation," said Kehm.
In April, Kehm had said of Schuhmacher's condition:
"There are short moments of consciousness. He is showing small signs of progress."
Since then there had been little official word on the former champion's condition.
