Malta Formula Racing aiming high at Magione
The fourth round of the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth returns this weekend, with Malta Formula Racing fielding 4 cars: one for young American Zack Dante, with the other three registered under F&M Adria Raceway who are also managed by Danilo Rossi and Marco Ubaldi under the technical supervision of Roberto Venieri.
Confirmed in F&M’s line up are Mattia Drudi, who currently occupies the 5th spot in the championship after a first victory in the Imola event, India’s Mahaveer Raghunathan, and Giovanni Altoe.
Encouragingly for Drudi, he has been amongst the fastest at the end of official tests that took place last week at Vallelunga. Keith Camilleri, on the other hand, will be absent from this round for personal reasons.
The official schedule for this weekend kicks off tomorrow with the first two free practice sessions of 40 minutes each, with the two qualifying sessions taking place at 4pm today. All three races will take place on the Sunday. The first, with 28 minutes + 1 lap starts at 9am with Race 2 of 18 minutes + 1 lap taking place at 12:30. The final race, also 28 minutes + 1 lap, will start at 4:40pm.
Highlights from Race 1 and Race 2, with the live broadcast of Race 3 will be shown on TVM 2 starting from 4:10pm with Keith Camilleri as guest commentator along with Chris Cauchi and Edwin Saliba.
