Marsa Colts take advantage
On Saturday the game between the Chairman’s XI against the Captain’s team was postponed for the following week. But the colts game between Marsa and Krishna still took place in windy conditions.
The Marsa teams batting came together and totalled their highest score so far in the series, the wind though did help with all the wides which were bowled, which cost the bowler three runs.
Andrea Caruana was the highest scorer with twenty three runs, followed closely by Freddie May with twenty two runs. Adam Caruana scored seventeen runs, Aidan Bugeja fifteen runs, Oliver Robinson fourteen runs. Amy Caruana nine runs and Sarah Bulteel six runs. For the Krishna team Adam Krishna , Zack Cauchi and Thomas Rusher were the pick of the bowlers.
The Krishna batting also managed their highest team total but only managed seventy nine runs. William Pettit was their highest scorer with twenty runs. Zach Sofia scored fifteen runs, Zack Borg Ginger fourteen runs, Zack Cauchi twelve runs, Jasmine Bulteel seven runs, Adam Krishna six runs and Thomas Rusher five runs. For Marsa Adam Caruana was the only wicket taker and was also involved in a run out. Aidan Bugeja and Amy Caruana both bowled well, With this win the Marsa team take an assailable lead of three nil in the five game series.

The fixtures for the European division two championships have just been released. Malta are in the group with Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Spain and Greece. In the other group there is Austria, Portugal, Isle Of Mann, Cyprus, Luxembourg and Sweden. Malta’s first game will be on the twentieth June against Greece. You can follow the games at this link :
