Athleta - League Championship winners for 2011

Although they are one of the founder members of the Basketball Association, they had to wait till 1986, to win their first Championship, under the original name of Athleta.

Another thirteen years had to pass before the second success was achieved, in 1999, with the name of Pembroke Repsol. A year after, in 2000, they repeated their success, with the same name.

Then it was alternate years, when in 2002 the Championship was won under the name of Pembroke Allcom. In 2004 it was Pembroke Tumas Group, and in 2006, with the single name of Pembroke.

A year later, in 2007, they had a new name for the League championship, this time it was Dakar Sliema, and now this year, for the eighth time they are League Championship winners, with the name, A to Z Electronics Athleta.
