Vlasic presented with the Sportswomen of the Year award

World champion in high-jump Blanka Vlasic of Croatia was presented by the trophy as European Sportswoman of the Year 2010.

The trophy was presented to Vlasic by Charles Camenzuli, Secretary General of the Union Europenne de la Presse Sportive and Life Gen.Secretary of A.I.P.S during the High Jump meeting held in Split, Croatia on Saturday 24^th June.

Present also for the presentation Marin Sarec – assistant chief editor of Sportska Televizija which transmitted live the athletics meeting.

The meeting was won by Blanka Vlasic who for the first time this year managed to reach the 2.00 metre height.

Vlasic will be one of the major attractions during the next Athletics World Champioships to be held in Daegu, South Korea in a bid to defend the world title won in Berlin as well as to emulate the 2.05 m height reached during the 2010 meeting held last year in Split.
