IFBB Mediterranean bodybuilding championships this weekend at the Cottonera Sports Complex

The last time these championships were held in Malta was back in 1989 and were a great success.

This year the championships will be staged on the 29th October at the Cottonera Sports Complex and they will start at 10am with the ladies classes. Tickets at €15 can be bought directly at the door.

In these championships eight countries from all over the Mediterranean will participate with more than 40 athletes in all (Men and Women).

There will be weight classes for men, from 65kgs to more than 100kgs and also classic bodybuilding.

In the women classes there will be, open Class bodybuilding and Open class Body fitness and there will be open class Ms bikini.

IFBB is the biggest federation of bodybuilding, and has the best athletes in the world.

The Maltese team is represented by experienced athletes, newcomers and others not so much experienced but promising.

Malta will also have a member in the judging panel.
