Joe Aquilina appointed as Futsal Standing Committee Chairman
he 2011/12 Futsal Standing Committee announces that a new committee has been set up.
Contrary to what was the trend in recent years whereby there were different standing committees for various divisions, this season it has been decided that there will be one standing committee representing the top three divisions.
The 2011/12 Futsal Standing Committee roles were confirmed as follows:
*Chairman Joe Aquilina (Luxol Amazon 1st Div)*
*Vice Chairman John Mizzi (Naxxar Motors 1st Div)*
*Secretary Renato Vella (White Eagles Mosta 1st Div)*
*Assistant Secretary David Camilleri (Classics 3rd Div)*
*Media official Sandro Micallef (sportinmalta.com 2nd Div)*
During the first meeting of the 2011/12 Standing Committee a series of issues related to the domestic leagues and Futsal in general were discussed and several suggestions will be put forward for the MFA’s consideration.
A proposal was also put forward to invite all 4th Division Clubs to form part of this standing committee.
The 2011/12 Futsal Standing Committee will be meeting in the coming days with top oficials from the newly formed Futsal Malta Association. The FMA has been approved as full member in the last MFA Council.
