Maltese weighlifters to represent Malta at the European Small Nations Championship
The Malta Weightlifting Association shall be sending a team of four lifters to compete in the European Small Nations Championship to be held in Luxembourg next Saturday 28th April.

The lifters are Rodmar Pulis, Jovan Relic, Noel Coleiro, Matthew Muscat Inglott and their Coach Stephen Borg.
Preparations for this event have been going on for months so that the Maltese team would be in its best form.
A competition was held last week for the Cottonera Club members and the National Team. The results achieved during this event were very positive and
all athletes registered a progress on their final best. Six National records were broken by Joran Farrugia in the 94Kg Youths Category. New records were also achieved by young lifters in the Cadet Level.
This has given a lot of confidence to the Team to give its best in Luxembourg.
The Competition also served as preparation for The Malta Open Championship to be held on the 13th of May at the Cottonera Sports Complex. The competition was refereed by Jesmond Caruana, Ramona Borg and Gayle Caruana.
