Sirens Swim team in Greece
In preparation for the winter swimming season and as a closure to the summer programmes of training, the Sirens swimming team consisting of a total of 27 swimmers accompanied by their coaches a number of club officials and a number of parents attended a training camp in Loutraki Greece.
This camp brought to a close the intensive summer swimming and social programme. Throughout this fantastic ‘Greek experience’ apart from swimming training a number of friendly games against NireasWaterpolo Club were organised. Team building, cultural visits and leisure activities throughout this seven day camp were held.
Mr.Walter Balzan, ambassador for Malta visited the Maltese contingent and was given a tour of the facilities by camp director Mr.Spiros Karavoulis. Both parties discussed possible future youth and sport exchanges where the embassy could be a bridge between Malta and Greece and help to strengthen political, commercial and cultural ties between the two countries.
The camp ended with races and fun games with a local club.
